The fact that shows like Survivor and Duck Dynasty are popular shows makes you wonder where the thinkers of society have gone. Have we strayed that far from culture that staged reality TV has become the norm for television viewing? Honey Boo is another. Does watching Here Comes Honey Boo make us feel better about ourselves because they are on the lower end of the scale in terms of culture, manners or etiquette? Is it because we don't have to think when watching these shows? It makes you ponder whether or not there is much hope for the future of complex thinking in terms of television shows. They are still out there, but are they an endangered species as low end viewing is perpetuated by low end viewers.
